CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - City Councilman Manny Rico and Chamber of Commerce representatives helped Parkridge Medical Center staff and leadership celebrate the grand opening of the hospital’s new 12-bed Cardiac Recovery Unit on Thursday. The event included a ribbon cutting and the issuance of a proclamation from the Chamber of Commerce designating Feb. 14, 2013 as Parkridge Medical Center Day.

“Parkridge has served this community for over 40 years, and we are proud to unveil the first in a series of enhancements to our campus with the opening of our new Cardiac Recovery Unit,” noted Parkridge Health System President and CEO Darrell Moore in remarks at the event. “This renovation provides additional capacity for our cardiac services area, and its open look and feel will serve as a model for future inpatient renovations.”

The new space features photos of Chattanooga landmarks and several pieces of art created by Cardiac Recovery Unit nurses. For more information and additional photos from the event, visit the Parkridge Facebook page at www.facebook.com/ParkridgeHealthSystem.
