Centennial Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at Parkridge is proud to welcome Michael McLean, MD, a board-certified and fellowship-trained cardiothoracic surgeon with 24 years of experience. The Chattanooga-native specializes in complex surgery of the lungs, esophagus, heart and other parts of the chest.

“Dr. McLean brings more than two decades of experience in cardiothoracic care and a skillset that complements the care we provide at Centennial Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at Parkridge,” said Alison Bailey, MD, FACC, Chief of Cardiology at Centennial Heart at Parkridge. “It’s always great to welcome a Chattanoogan back home and his knowledge of the area combined with his clinical expertise will be an asset to the patients we serve.”

Dr. McLean previously served as a cardiothoracic surgeon at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Grand Junction, Colorado and a cardiovascular and thoracic surgeon in Los Angeles, California.

Dr. McLean grew up in Chattanooga and earned his medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in North Carolina. He completed his residency in general surgery at SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and his fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at the University of Southern California.

Dr. McLean will see patients in the Centennial Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at Parkridge offices located in the Center for Heart, Lung and Vascular Health at 2339 McCallie Avenue, Chattanooga, Tennessee, 37404.
