Welcome to next-generation cardiac rehabilitation

The Intensive Cardiac Rehabilitation (ICR) at Parkridge Medical Center is a comprehensive next-generation program for qualifying cardiac patients* seeking to make fundamental changes in behavior and lifestyle for improved health. 

This outpatient program includes our skilled and experienced cardiac rehab team of experts in the fields of exercise, nutrition, and mental health. 

Using the expertise and resources of the nationally–recognized Pritikin Intensive Cardiac Rehab program, ICR at Parkridge Medical Center includes a flexible curriculum of medically-supervised exercises tailored to each patient’s fitness level, in-person and multimedia-based immersive workshops and cooking classes, individualized nutrition consultation, and education based upon the three key pillars of heart-health: regular exercise, a heart-healthy eating plan, and a healthy mind-set. 

Medically qualified participants* of Intensive Cardiac Rehab at Parkridge Medical Center will have access to the knowledge and resources culminated from extensive clinical research findings of medical and nutrition experts in this field of study. Importantly, the program is approved by Medicare and many commercial insurers.

*Qualifying medical conditions include: heart attack, heart bypass surgery, currently stable angina pectoris, heart valve repair or replacement, percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty/stenting, heart or heart-lung transplant, or chronic heart failure with reduced EF.
