The Cancer Registry is a component of the Parkridge Medical Center's Sarah Cannon Cancer Center Cancer program that collects data on cancer patient care. Data collected includes diagnosis, surgical intervention, chemotherapy and radiation therapy. In addition, the registry follows each patient for his/her lifetime to ensure that the patient continues to be evaluated by appropriate medical personnel on a regular basis and to collect the outcomes of therapies. These data are then sent to a national database that is used to determine future standards of care and prevention for all types of cancer.

The registry participates in the Commission on Cancer Rapid Quality Reporting System (RQRS) by regularly submitting cases to their national database which provides facilities more current cancer treatment data and sends alerts to inform the cancer registry when patients are due to start treatments appropriate for their cancer. This process ensures that Parkridge Medical Center provides high quality care for each patient.
