Robert Magill, MD, has been named assistant chief medical officer (ACMO) of Parkridge Health System. Since 2017, Dr. Magill has served as Parkridge Health’s chief of staff and Envision Physician Services regional medical director of hospitalist services. In his role as ACMO, Dr. Magill will collaborate with Parkridge Health Market Chief Medical Officer Timothy M. Grant, MD, MBA, to manage day-to-day chief medical officer duties for Parkridge Medical Center and Parkridge East Hospital. Additionally, Dr. Magill will have oversight of clinical quality and patient safety, clinical informatics, pharmacy, and the medical staff office.

“For more than seven years at Parkridge Health, Dr. Magill has established strong relationships with our physicians and nursing staff,” Dr. Grant said. “He has significantly contributed to the improvement of our culture and processes and has played a critical role in advancing our quality-focused initiatives. We are fortunate to have Dr. Magill join us as ACMO and enthusiastically welcome him to this new position.”

Dr. Magill earned a medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine and completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine Chattanooga, where he also served a post-graduate year as chief resident. He is board-certified in internal medicine and is a senior fellow in hospital medicine. In 2016, Dr. Magill was awarded the Frist Humanitarian Award for physicians, the most prestigious award bestowed by Parkridge Health.
