Fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon Joshua Lawson, MD, has joined the medical staff at Parkridge Health System. Dr. Lawson, a hip and knee replacement specialist with Orthopedic Surgical Specialists, currently sees patients in his office located on the Parkridge Medical Center campus at 2339 McCallie Avenue, Plaza Two, Suite 406.

Dr. Lawson earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine and served an orthopedic surgery residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He completed a fellowship in adult reconstruction at the University of Louisville Hospital, where he received specialized training in anterior hip replacement, patient-specific knee replacement, revision hip and knee replacement, and robot-assisted hip and knee replacement.

Trained in both surgical and nonsurgical approaches to treating conditions that affect the musculoskeletal system, Dr. Lawson partners with patients to develop a care plan tailored to their needs. He offers a wide range of reconstructive options, including anterior total hip replacement, total and partial knee replacement, and revision hip and knee replacement.

Dr. Lawson is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, American Academy of Hip and Knee Surgeons, International Congress for Joint Reconstruction and AO Foundation.

Dr. Lawson and his wife, Haley, are natives of the Chattanooga area. They are avid golfers and enjoy attending church on Sundays, college football, and spending time with friends and family.
