Caroline F. Burris named Parkridge East Hospital CEO

Caroline's 15 years of experience within HCA Healthcare has granted her the experience to take on this new role as chief executive officer.

Parkridge Health System is proud to announce Caroline F. Burris, MBA, ACHE, as the new chief executive officer for Parkridge East Hospital. Caroline comes to Parkridge East from HCA Florida Ft. Walton-Destin Hospital where she has served as chief operating officer and ethics and compliance officer since 2022.

“Caroline will bring strategic, valuable leadership to Parkridge East Hospital,” said Chris Cosby, president and chief executive officer of Parkridge Health System. “Her leadership experience and familiarity with HCA Healthcare, especially in women’s services, will help us to continue providing exceptional care for our patients, colleagues and community."

Burris has been part of the HCA Healthcare since 2009 and has served in numerous strategic and leadership roles, including a four-year term as associate administrator and co-ethics and compliance officer for TriStar Summit in Nashville. She has also served as chief operating officer and ethics and compliance officer of HCA Healthcare’s The Women’s Hospital of Texas in Houston.

Caroline earned a Master of Business Administration from Northeastern University following her undergraduate studies at Belmont University in Nashville.

“My Christian faith is paramount for me and is the foundation from which I lead,” Burris said. “I am excited for this opportunity to meet the fantastic colleagues and physicians at Parkridge East and to become an active member of the community.”

Caroline has previously served on numerous civic and faith-based boards and committees, including those whose work focuses on women’s health.
