An Emergency Leads to Friendship

After successful open-heart surgery at Parkridge Medical Center, Doug Arand experienced an aortic dissection while in his hospital room. A coordinated, rapid response from the nursing staff, OR staff and cardiothoracic surgeon saved his life. Doug gives thanks for the providers who brought him through the life-threatening situation, and now, he counts his nurses and physicians among his friends.
