Parkridge Medical Group — Cardiology is excited to welcome board-certified, fellowship-trained interventional cardiologist, Maurice Alston, DO. Dr. Alston received advanced training in cardiovascular disease and specializes in minimally invasive approaches to diagnosing, treating and managing the disease. Dr. Alston will see patients at his office on the Parkridge Medical Center campus, located on the second floor of 2205 McCallie Avenue.

"I consider it a privilege to join Parkridge Medical Group — Cardiology and expand the practice's cardiac treatment capabilities," Dr. Alston said. "I believe in developing strong relationships with my patients and partnering with them and their primary care providers to prevent and treat cardiac disease."

Dr. Alston earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine Georgia, in Suwannee, Georgia, and completed an internal medicine residency at Doctors Hospital, in Columbus, Ohio, where he pursued further training, completing a cardiovascular fellowship and serving as chief cardiovascular fellow. He then completed an interventional cardiovascular fellowship from The Ohio State University, in Columbus, Ohio.

Dr. Alston recently moved to Chattanooga with his wife and four daughters. A devout Christian and family man, he also enjoys watching and attending sporting events, especially football and basketball.
