CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Interventional cardiologist Dr. Joshua Willis has joined the medical staff of Parkridge Health System.

Dr. Willis earned his medical degree from the Howard University College of Medicine in 2002. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Tulane University Medical Center (TUMC) in New Orleans. During Hurricane Katrina, Dr. Willis served as attending physician and chief resident at Charity and University hospitals. He was intimately involved with the planning and execution of patient care during and after the storm, as well as patient and personnel evacuation in the days that followed.

After completing his Chief Resident responsibilities, Dr. Willis served as a Clinical Assistant Professor of General Internal Medicine and Geriatrics at Tulane University. He completed a three year fellowship in General Cardiology at the Cleveland Clinic and a yearlong Interventional Cardiology fellowship at the University of Florida. Dr. Willis is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. He is a member of the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American College of Cardiology.
