CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. Physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist Alexander Roberts, MD has joined the medical staff of Parkridge Medical Center.

On Aug. 1, Dr. Roberts will join Spine Surgery Associates, a Parkridge Medical Group practice of spinal surgeons, physical medicine and rehabilitation specialists and mid-level providers. The group focuses on the appropriate management of patients with disorders of the cervical, thoracic and lumbosacral spine including tumors, trauma, neurologic deficit, degeneration, deformities (scoliosis), radiculopathy, and infections.

Dr. Roberts, a Greenville, N.C. native, earned his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of California and his medical degree from Chicago Medical School’s Rosalind Franklin University. He performed an internal medicine internship at Allegheny General Hospital and completed residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Vidant Medical Center (formally Pitt County Memorial Hospital) with East Carolina University’s Brody School of Medicine.
