Tom Ozburn, president and CEO of Parkridge Health System, recently received the American College of Healthcare Executives Senior-Level Healthcare Executive Regent's Award at the Tennessee Hospital Association (THA) Annual Meeting in Nashville.
The Senior-Level Healthcare Executive Regent's Award recognizes ACHE members who are experienced in the field and have made significant contributions to the advancement of healthcare management excellence and the achievement of ACHE's goals.
Ozburn received this award for his strong commitment to the healthcare profession and to ACHE and its values. He exemplifies the core values of ACHE - integrity, leadership, lifelong learning, and diversity and inclusion. A Fellow in ACHE, he is a proven leader committed to the healthcare profession, and dedicated to providing high quality, diverse and inclusive healthcare services to the communities he serves.
Members are evaluated on leadership ability; innovative and creative management; executive capability in developing their own organization and promoting its growth and stature in the community; contributions to the development of others in the healthcare profession; leadership in local, state or provincial hospital and health association activities; participation in civic/community activities and projects; participation in ACHE activities; and interest in assisting ACHE in achieving its objectives.
Ozburn has served as president and CEO of Parkridge Health System since 2017. Prior to this, he served as CEO of TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville.
Ozburn is board-certified in healthcare management as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, demonstrating a commitment to professional excellence. He is one of the founding members of ACHE's Middle Tennessee chapter and currently serves on the Regent Advisory Council.
