Stroke care

Stroke is the fifth leading cause of death and the leading cause of adult disability in the United States. However, timely access to specialized treatment can potentially save your life and prevent permanent disability. Parkridge Medical Center earned Disease-Specific Care Certification as an Advanced Primary Stroke Center from The Joint Commission. That means we rapidly assess and diagnose patients exhibiting signs of stroke. For those diagnosed with stroke we administer clot-busting medications to those patients who meet the criteria.
